Gabapentin is a human-labeled drug, and a controlled substance in Virginia, so a veterinarian needs to examine your pet in person before prescribing it. What can you NOT do by video?
We cannot inject medications (Cytopoint, Adequan, Convenia require in-clinic administration), perform physical exams for suspected fractures, or diagnose things that require imaging, biopsy, or lab tests. For those cases, we refer to your local vet or a NYC emergency hospital.
Do you take insurance?
Most pet insurance providers reimburse RexVet visits — Trupanion, Nationwide, Embrace, ASPCA, Pets Best, MetLife, and Lemonade. HSA and FSA cards accepted. Payment via credit card at booking; reimbursement handled by you afterward.
