How quickly can I see a veterinarian after I book?
Most pet parents are connected with a licensed RexVet veterinarian within minutes of booking. RexVet operates 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
What happens during a RexVet video visit?
You'll meet a licensed veterinarian by secure video. The vet reviews your pet's concern, asks questions, looks at your pet on camera, and after the call sends a written treatment plan — including any recommended over-the-counter products or prescriptions.
Can a RexVet veterinarian prescribe medication for my pet?
Yes, where state law allows. RexVet veterinarians can prescribe medications during a video consultation in Florida, New York, and Virginia. Prescriptions are filled through RexVetRx and shipped to your door.
What if my pet needs hands-on care after the virtual visit?
If the vet determines your pet needs in-person care — for example, X-rays, blood work, surgery, or an emergency — they'll explain why and help you decide what to do next. We're glad to share your pet's medical records with your local vet to keep care continuous.
Is RexVet really a non-profit?
Yes. RexVet is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Because we don't have shareholders to pay, we can offer visits starting at $64.99 — roughly half the cost of a typical in-person vet visit — and reinvest surplus into expanding access to care.
